Citrine 0003

Citrine is a variety of quartz often found alongside iron and with inclusions in Brazil, Uruguay and Madagascar. Citrine is often unfortunately artificially coloured (by heating/burning the crystal). The uncoloured raw variety is much more potent.

The name Citrine is derived from Citrus because of its color. For gemstones, it is usually cut into facets or cabochons.
